ABOUT MD Golf

The business was established in 1996 and trades under the company name Golf Network. Initially they were distributors for major brands Maxfli, Adidas, Cross Creek and Goldwin. In 1999 the company set up MD Golf as it was believed there was a need for a brand offering a high quality product but at a middle price point. Over the past 11 years the company have established MD Golf as the Number one middle priced brand in the UK, offering unrivalled quality at this price point. Golf Network is based in Belfast Northern Ireland and is owned and operated by the same company.

Where are MD Golf products manufactured?

All products are assembled in Ireland to ensure quality is of the highest level. Their heads are produced in some of the leading factories in Asia and then imported into Ireland where they are assembled on our production line. All our graphite shafts are manufactured by leading company UST Mamiya with steel shafts being supplied by True Temper.

Where are MD Products sold?

MD Golf products are sold right across the globe, their primary focus is in Europe and Australasia. They deal with some of the best retailers and distributors in the world. They also exhibit at the PGA Golf show which is held annually in the Orange county convention hall in Orlando, along with the Golf Europe Fair in Munich.

Do MD Golf have any stars endorsing their products?

All MD Golf products were endorsed by the greatest golfer of all time – Severiano Ballesteros. The company have worldwide license rights to the Seve brand name and in conjunction with Seve we have developed the Seve Icon line of golfing equipment.
We also have teamed up with former Ryder Cup player Norman Drew and over the last 5 years his range of putters and wedges have won numerous products reviews.

How about grass roots support?

Their company support many local players both domestically and Internationally we are hopeful that we can cultivate some great young talent into world class players.

What about the major Tours?

In 2011 they plan to attack the European Tour via a two pronged focus of players using some of our key products such as wedges via their new Tour rep, secondly they expect to announce some major player signings in January 2011.
